Brands

Sundown is my fav because of the lowwwws. Love the excursion and Jacob had some good refurbished prices. DD is great too. My best friend has a 9515 that pounds the **** out of his BMW.
At first I thought you were trolling.

Being new to the game and having only used two brands I have little to say. I get the feeling Kenwood is decent for low budget builds. I've had no problem with their amps and their component speakers sound great to me, but as their expensive stuff is under $250, I don't think most of the enthusiast types would even look at them. Rockford Fosgate's amps and subs perform admirably, but if I didn't get lucky on Craiglist I would've never considered them because their stuff gets pricey because of the name. You could probably do much better with the same money elsewhere.

Similarly, I have a friend who has a JL Audio setup purchased and installed locally. He paid an absurd amount for his gear and the install, but that's partly JL's high prices and partly the shop. I think the general consensus with JL Audio is that even though you get quality, you pay dearly for it.

Over 3+years later I still have yet to be impressed as much as I was with my Pierce Audio WMD's. Most forgiving sub I have ever used beat the he'll out of themand thing would just laugh back at ya. Best amp brand then I would have to say Skar.. Yes, I said it. Hate the man all you want but when I can get two 2500s for less then $600 shipped.. Both bnib direct from him. When I can get that kinda quality on the cheap then I'll hang on them nuts forever.

Where have you been? Are you still with that crazy chick?[/QUOTE]

That's too long of a story right now. I'm back in car audio now but, I've been through quite a bit.

Im liking hertz highs and old polk kappa perfect subs, zed for amps, and rockford for dsp
Still hard to beat morel for sq subs though.

Spl wise I like ia's offerings since they have alot of r&d in there designs and the company backs their product. Ill get my hand one or too flatlynes shortly

Kappa Perfects are Infinity.

I'll hook them up one of these days.

But for serious Audioque/Soundqubed.

Had 5 of their amps, 3 hdc3s and a set of components. Best bang for your buck IMO.

Swapping out my PA setup for AQ PAs, and either 2 hdc3 18s or 4 HDS 15s on a 3500 for my next setup.

Don't hate bro.. If you could get a solid 5k for $600 new I'm willing to bet u would jump. Also, got a Sun 5k so I buy quality no matter the brand as long as price is right.
5k for $600 new in the box? Sign me up. I just don't believe you, not hating.
