Brand new sa8v2 d4s reading 3 ohms

I just purchased 2x new sa8v2s, and all 4 coils are reading ~3 ohms. Is this normal?

3.0? alot of companies give higher rating than actual readings because after rise the coil will be seeing closer to 4ohms.

My death penalty is a D1 but the coils are really .7, which scares me in parallel

according to ssa store the RE is 3.36 ohms. and its reading 3.0?

coil resistance and coil impedance are two different things.

did you check resistance in the dmm leads first?

the sundown site says that the RE of the sa8v2 is supposed to be 3.36. That is what you are measuring with your dmm, the RE, not the impedance of the coils. don't worry, your shiz is fine. hook and bump and stop worrying.
