Braking turns off my HU... :-/

Ok so my old battery was leaking and corroded everything including my battery positive terminal and fuse on power wire. Well got new battery, pos. terminal (was used on old battery for about 3wks) and new fuse for power wire.

My car has been working fine no problems until today. Went to deposit from checks and then decided to spray my car off...once done sprayingoff my car wouldn't start. Long story short my brother came and jump started me...

Well on the way home when I applied the brakes my 9853 would turn off then turn immediately back on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif ..

I'm gonna guess its my terminals? See pics... Sorry they arent great but Im in a hurry...

bump...HELP!

Well justbought some $5 coated terminals from Advance Auto Parts so we'll see if this works...I need it to fix the problem. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

bad connection somewhere. or something faulty in the install that shorts the deck out.

thats weird... it sounds like a short, but i don't what your brake switch would be connected to that would to that. maybe when your battery was leaking it messed something up internally.

Is your HU loose? it could be grounding out somewhere...

Also, clean your battery cables and posts and then get some spray coating from Advance or wherever, they shouldn't be corroded that badly if you just replaced them...

Ok well I got new terminals and everything so its working now. The corrosion part (batt. acid) was keeping the terminal and post from getting a good connection..
