Here's the scoop: paid for a pro install to have a 4 channel amp installed along with adding an older alpine 3331 eq/crossover to the system. Alpine 3331 is installed up with my head unit so all 3 sets of rca's are running from up front back to amps. After install there is a bad buzz in system (both front and back speakers). Installer said its my 4 channel amp..which WAS a refurb from Profile. I did a bit of troubleshooting myself and figure its either alpine eq or the amp. Problem doesnt follow any specific rca and seems to be coming from both front and rear speakers (i.e. all over).
Got replacment amp from profile: same thing.
Before I go and order a replacment 3331 eq/crossover off ebay...can it be anything else? I never had the noise with my head unit and a sub amp (running sub output from head unit to amp). Could it be a ground on the 4 channel amp? (appears to be good..but you never know).
I can take it back to shop that did the install and say "fix it"...but I'm guessing they'll come back and say its the EQ. How much can I make them troubleshoot this issue? THey were wrong once already on what issue was.
