Im looking perhaps to get a brahma. Ive got 1630x1 @ 2 ohm RMS to push to one and my question is, where is the best/cheapest place to pick one up?

Matt, if you are dead set on 2 ohm, you will have to get a pair of brahma's as they are DVC 2 ohm. You have either 1 ohm operation or 4 ohm.

That would give you some 800 watts at 4 ohm though, which is plenty to my ears... perhaps it would be for you too.

hey jlaine, do you know anything about an MTX81000D amp? a friend of mine was gonna buy a brahma 15" and hook it up to that amp, and i have no idea whether it is 2ohm only or whether it can be wired at 1 ohm. Do you have any idea?

my amp will do 1200 x 1 @ 4 ohm

im not sure how that will sound on 1 brahma, but if that was the case, id like to throw it in 2.7 - 3 cu ft tuned to about 30 hz
