I was surprised too. With all the back order stuff going around I was very pleased. They said they were producing it, and it would ship out on friday. A smarter idea would be to call Adire and ask them what the status of your driver is.
There is a backorder because demand is higher than supply.

You mean paying no attention to all the hype and glory these things get on here.
Seriously it is loud! and clean. Campared to other woofers I've used it wins. That is a true unhyped statment. I've ran Hx2's, Power Hx2's, JL w3's, Mtx 4500's, And a few others. It will beat most two 12" set ups in spl that are around here.
In a sealed box 1 cubic foot it does not get super loud but the SQ is nutz. In a 2.5 cubic foot ported box tuned to 29hz. Lets just say wow. The level this thing puts out is loud. Alarms hate me. But the SQ is the same as every other setup I've heard.
If I could start over, would I still have bought this sub, knowing what I now know it can do. YES. It is louder than a W7. Cleaner and cheaper!
To sum it up I am very pleased and will not be buying another sub for a while. At least untill something better comes out that fits my needs.

Thanks for the economic tip Mark _ab sometimes there are other reasons such as a shortage of raw materials or specific parts etc. I just thought that I might get a response from one of the Adire guys that is on here.

Metal isn't much harder to get a hold of nowdays, contrary to popular belief; nor is it considerably more expensive than yester-year. And regardless of what the issue is as far as the supply is concerned, my statement still holds true. Hmm last I checked there was a shortage of steel and prices are indeed higer than normal. This summer set an all time high for the price of steel. Its true its not really harder to get ahold of, but its certainly more expensive than normal.
