The avas are supposed to be good in HT use though, after hearing the low end on one of these monsters i wouldnt doubt it.

Thanks for the comments..... Well after playing around with the Avalanche somemore I think I would definately take it over the brahma. And the low end is a little better now that I got the suspension loosened up a tad. The brahma still played a tad better near tuning. Don't get me wrong though the Avalanche drops. Late night tip definately hurts my ears and as a reference point since I'm sure you all know that song.......the lowest note keeps up pretty well but anything lower like number 7 on roy jones jr.'s CD isn't as loud. I played some songs by days of the new and metallica and I definately can say the avalanche is much more musical. The brahma is still a terrific driver though............. And my upcoming project is two AV18's in a wall...... so I'll keep everyone posted on that.

Wow thats the opposite of something else I had read on another forum saying the Brahma was more clear, now your saying the Ava is louder and just as clear?

I don't think the review helps much since Adire just re-tooled all their woofers. And also since the new Avalanche will not be using XBL^2....

Both subs are getting totaly re-done!

Ummm yeah, that's how tests are usually done. Not everyone has 20 different setups to judge a sub in.

I'm somewhat into HT, kinda. I am planning on building a box for my Atlas soon though. Just as soon as I get the blueprints for Chad's 24" cube.
