Sealed 1.5 vs Ported 1.5

I know that sealed yeilds a little bit better sound quality, but is the spl gain outweigh the accuracy loss? Or can you make a ported box sound pretty much just as good as a sealed? My klipsch computer subs are ported and sound amazing. But then again it's klipsch doing their magic so who knows.

well, i'd say go ported since ur going to be sending it 1100 watts i assume from the tsunami 1100. BUT, i'd go larger ported...like 3 cubes tune to like 28hz or so. As long as you tune it low...it will still maintain good SQ...sealed offers BEST sq...but a ported box tuned low will still sound good and yield more output. peace

well I'm making it 1.5 because I don't want my whole trunk taken up. Think that 1.5 ported would be sufficient or should i just go sealed?

1.5 is small for ported.. i'd go sealed myself.. i had my brahma in a 3.2cuFT to around 38 hz .. it slammed.. but if you don't have the space for a big box ported.. i'd go sealed.
