box ?

what kind of box would 2 12" type r's be good in? i searched around and never really got a good idea of either vented or sealed? thanks

Like everyone said above me: It really is personal preference

Read the SEALED vs PORTED sticky and see which appeals to you

No matter what driver, in a correctly designed enclosure, either sealed or ported will work

yea some people are saying sealed is better and other people are saying go ported but i want some sq but i want it to hit pretty good. i think i might go with ported. but if there is anyone out there that is really bored or just a hell of a nice guy, could u figure me up some box dimensions for free? just pm me if u want/or can for specs or w/e. thanks

To be honest, I think you will be happy either way.

Ported will definitely be louder, while sealed will yield better sq and tighter bass

However, a low ported box (such as 32 hz) will still have good sq while getting impressively loud

On the other hand, I can't imagien that dual sealed 12s would be quiet either...

If you have the space for ported, I would reccomend a low ported box built to your subs specifications. If space is an issue, go with a correctly sized sealed box.

Either way, I am sure you will be happy.

how do u figure out the box dimensions when you got the box volume and F3 figured out? or do you need more information?
