C0CK,its whats for dinner
Okay, well no pics as of yet. I will start construction tomorrow when I get home from school. Hopefully I can work fast and get this shit done before I lose daylight.

Anyway, I will be making my first vented enclosure. As some of you have noticed, getting the calculations for this thing was a pain in the ***... But I am finally happy.

So I have one last question before construction, where should I mount the sub in the box? To elaborate, I know it will be in the front, but does it matter where in the front, (i.e. centered, all the way left/right)?

1.) Doesn't matter, whatever works cosmetically for you.

2.) It's "Thread", not "Thred".

I know that right end doesnt quite line up, I didnt have time to knock off the extra ~1/2" or so before it started pouring... I will hopefully be able to finish it up, or get close, tomorrow before work. Let me guys know what you think.

looks good-2.5 cubic feet tuned to 35hz?

Question... The external dimensions for this box are 36" by 13" by 17.5". I took internal dimensions, and multiplied them together, (35.25 x 12.25 x 16.75, right?) And I got ~7232.86". So then I divided this by a cubic foot (1728 inches), and got 4.185 cubic feet... Is this correct?? I am guessing I am doing something wrong here, because the box calculator said 2.9 cubes, and the box looks way too small to be a 4 cube box...

subtract 1.5 inches from teh external numbers. 34.5x11.5x16=3.67 before ANY displacement.

God, I know you all hate me but...

There is the box I am making. I was thinking about it, and am not sure about the 40Hz tune.. What could I do to brign the tuning down to about 37Hz, could I just add to the port length? Will there be any noticable difference between these two tunings?

to lower the freq, lengthen the port,

now,

as far as how much of a difference changing the tunning freq by several hz is going to make.

i think!!!!! that's more related with what particular sub you re using.

where does the sub feels more comfortable tuned at, type thing.

use WinISD, if you are not already. youll get a close idea of the output of the sub in that particular box.

My sub is not located in the WinISD sub listings.
