right now my box is 7.66 cubic ft, and is tuned to 37 hz.

my goal is 33 hz, but in order to keep same box and just make port longer, i will be losing 1.66 cubes of box volume, putting me @ 6 cubes even @ 33hz and i will be adding 19.25" to the port length.

question is, what will the difference in sound ad air movement from the loss in volume.

will it move more or less air? will it sound better or worse in term of quality and spl?

P>S> sorry for the crappy typos in the title, to late to change it.

First off, 8 cubes seems huge for such a strong sub. 6 cubes may even be overkill in terms of flat response.

Youll be fine adding the port. For moving you, you really should be concerned about displacement. The BTL may not be the sub you want if thats really your end goal.
