Box type r question

I'm thinking about picking up a pair of type r 12s and making a box for them. I was wondering if 4.5 cubes would be to big for them. They will be going into a mini van and I wanted to tune the box to 30hz. I'm plan on powering them with about 1200 watt rms. I know there used to be a huge type r thread but I can't seem to find it. Any info would help thanks.

yea optimal is around 4 cubes after displacement. so you should be alright with that.

i think mines 3.5 at 28 and it sounds nasty so im sure youd be fine after sub displacement
