box too small for 2 12" L7's?

hey guys i had a questin about my pre-fab box. i kno most if not all pre-fab boxes are too small to begin with. i have a box for 2 12" dual 4 ohm L7's and was wondering what would be a good vented box size for these? i juzt got my kx1200.1 installed a few days ago and it doesn't seem like it's producing the bass it should. so how big should the box be for 2 12" L7's. seperate chambers of course. the box i have now is this box i've never built a box before so i wouldn't kno that much about it. thanks.

That thing LOOKS way small...

I got ~2.75ft^3 so about 1.375 per side BEFORE port & speaker displacement. So your looking right @ about 1 -1.1ft^3 per side. So yeah I would DEFINATELY build you a new box!

**** and i spent $90 on it. now they're $75. but i used some calculators and it seems like that box would be big enough for 1 L7 if it was a single chamber. but does anyone kno where i can get plans or any box building programs? i have winisd but i can't figure out how to use it. btw i have a 98 ford escort se if that helps with a rough picture of the trunk size. and 2 amps mounted to the back of the seats that flip down but it doesn't go all the way back to the seats. maybe like an inch or 2 maybe 3 at most from the rear seat.

ok well i thought i'd give winISD a try at figuring out my box for my 2 12" dvc4 L7's. this was my first attempt for measurements for a custom box. can anyone tell me what would be enough for my 2 L7's? i decided to have them share the same airspace and use one rectangular port. the box i have now barely fit so i'll have to stick with the measurements of 14.5"D 33"W 14.5"H but i might be able to go an extra inch or 2 with the depth (trunk roof clearance-box fit maybe with 1 inch clearance on top but barely squeezed through the trunk opening-98 ford escort se 4 dr sedan). so if anyone can help me with a new box to fit those 2 L7's with the proper air space for em i'd greatly appreciate it.

so can anyone tell me if these calculations are right? i might try building this or have someone build it for me. thanks

Port: 6.00Hx3.00"Wx8.89"L

box: 25.25"Wx15"Hx15"D

.75" mdf

2.623ft^3

this box will have one port and the subs will share the same airspace. opinions if this box could be better or what you would change. thanks!

well actually i was wondering if it'd be better to juzt use the same airspace cuz i have a small trunk and not a wide opening..the box i have now (33"wide) barely squeezed through the opening with maybe an inch of clearance from the trunk roof..how much would that affect the airspace of the subs? would i be able to make a lil more compact box than if they were seperate chambers?

idk. i was juzt thinking of going w/ a single chamber. i really don't want to waste more money on a pre-fab box idk will sound better..i spent $90 on this one. i'd rather go the cheap way this time..anyone who reads this..can anyone give me box plans or something? i have winISD but i'm a newb at working with it. i have no idea what the line graph tells me about the slope, i'm not sure about total ft^3 for my L7's. what would be ideal for em? if anyone can give me a good volume measurement i can figure the box size. i wanted to go ported as well (1 port, 1 chamber) if possible. thanks.
