Box thoughts??

So I am thinking of going with 3 10's either sa-10s or skar 10's or custom 10's if I can get some built that are better for around $500 shipped as the thats the price on the sa's or skars. Box will be 3cf after sub diplacement and I will be using 2-3 6" external aero ports. Subs to the rear ports to the front. Tuned to 32hz with around 2k on them??

Having subs custom built are surprisingly cheap.

I will ignore ur post about geting custom subs usng better parts at the same price as the CHINA made subs alone. The question is about the box idea. Not what u think of the drivers god. To much blahhh these days.

You can test that setup. However, I never had much success with it though. I was going for numbers so that is a bit different.

Should you really port in the opposite direction that the subs fire? For some reason I always thought that was a no no.

usually in a car subs up port to drivers side is loudest, subs back port back is flattest and deepest sounding. I've done subs forward port back and it was horrible under 60hz but I never tried the other way around.

crx's do it all the time, it's loudest for them. it doesn't really matter as long as it works for your situation.

crx boxes are usually either small square boxes with aero ports firing back or just big tubes with the ''port'' being the actual enclosure.

Actually many of the louder CRX's use an enclosure with the port firing into the driver rear corner.
