Box spec question, help!

Ok... I'm not sure on what size box or anything about making boxes. If someone could help me out, I'd be very very grateful. I have two of the MTX 8000 10" subs in some Q-logic sealed box (bought it from bestbuy... probably not teh smartest move), and I don't think it's reaching the power it can. Can anyone either show me some dimensions of a box that would be better for them, or sites on how to make them?

PS. I have a 97 Saturn SL2, and I need it to fit inbetween the opening right behind the seats, the opening is 35 1/2" wide and 14 1/2" tall. The box I have the subs in is 26" wide, 12" tall, 9 1/4" deep on top and 11 1/2" deep on the bottom. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Added : I'm looking for the subs to just be louder in general, in case that's needed.
