I have 2 diamond D3's, and i am going to be using an orion D1200 amp on them. They are gong into a 96 ford explorer.

My question is, how should my box be set up? Should it be subs facing back, with the port back also, running parallel up and down the box between the subs......

OR ....should it be subs facing up, with the port facing back, side to side?

also, does anyone no how much air space im going to need for 2 diamond d3's?

Sorry to start a rant, but IMO this is pure BULLSHIT. I am a member of a few awsome forums, and they all help me out. Here, NOTHIN. I will try to get along here, but i need help people, just gimme a chance.

honestly, i thought about posting but realized

when i first got into car audio

i didnt know about any of these forums

i figured it all out on my own with a calculator, a pencil, some paper and basic algebra and equations that i got from mark rumreich's "the car stereo cookbook"

it kinda pisses me off thinking about how much work a put into my enclosures and systems then look at this forum and see everyone "I JSUT GOT X SUB, I NEED A BOX" [end thread]

Face the subs back and the port back. You can put the port in the middle, to the side, or under the subs. You need about 50 square inches of port, 3 cubic feet net, and tuning frequency of about 34 hertz should be good. If you want a design, pay me.
