box set up in trunk car

Ok, I was trying to get a different sub then my 9515b but I will try to make it work in my car. I will have to fire the sub up in order to get the box into my trunk. Should I go sub up, port up or sub up port back?

trunk cars blow for boxes, but if you can get it in they get louddd

See if there's any possible way you could fit it with both facing back, you'll get less unnecessary rattle and it'll most likely be louder

when i had my 01 grand am, I always had to build my boxes INSIDE the trunk. Just take off the front, back, and top, and then slide the rest in. That way, you can get the sub and port, to face the back.

Examples are below: you gotta do what you gotta do to make it right, otherwise its not really worth it.

Then just screw on the remaining panels on while its inside the trunk.

For my Grand Prix I have to have box facing forward port forward on drivers side.

Port 13.5H x 10w x 29L

Any time i face mine to the rear I lose 2db.

Again, that's just my experience. Different cars respond differently. It's all about experiment.

how much difference in db's will there be from the sub facing up vs. the rear? sound quality difference?

Never tried facing box up myself.

Facing subs to the rear generally gave me a bit more deep tone to it.

sorry to jack this guys thread but i plan to put my sub in a f/g enclosure either facing up from the spare tire well or facing side to side in the rear corner of the car. what would be a better setup?
