Box Questionz

I have an elemental 13kv.3 on the way, but I haven't built my box yet. I was thinking about 2 cubes tuned to 35hz. I plan on having the port firing to the rear, but I was wondering what way to fire the sub. I have a hole right above where the box is going to be. So the dilemma is, do I want to have the sub and port rear firing, or have the port fire rearward, and the sub fire into the cabin through the package shelf, with a wall between the box and the rest of the trunk but not fully sealed? What would sound better SQ wise and loudness wise?

Going into a 1978 Mercedes 240D, The gas tank is over the rear axle, and Theres a **** metal bulkhead between the backseat and the trunk. Makes it kinda complcated.
