Box questions for 2 type Rs 12 in

Im having some trouble deciding on what kind of box dimensions i need.

My first question would be how would 4.3 cubes @ 32 hz sound for these type Rs? Was reading around on the Type R thread and 32 hz seems to be the gspot for these subs on most occasions. Any different suggestions are welcome.

Secondly, my plan was to use Moe Lester's 4.3 @ 32 hz box plan but the specs call it to be 35 in wide. The only work space i have is a max of 32 in wide. How would i go about reconfiguring the box then? This is going into a 94 Accord Coupe.

Its said that 4-5 cubes is best and 4.5 or 4.3 net would split the difference and be great for them as well as the 32hz tuning. To figure it properly, add your net volume, port displacment and driver displacment and that will give you your gross volume. Multiply that by 1728 to put it into cubic inches. Divide that by your width, 32" and then by whatever height and depth you want...

Wouldnt he divide by 30.5?

Pick one of the other 2 either depth or hight, divide by that after subtracting 1.5"(2*board thickness). this will give you the third internal.

How do i figure out the port displacement?

I just used the Decaf box tool and it came up with this

Would that be accurate?

Or should i still do this on paper?

Multiply the width, hight and lenth of the port then devide by 1728.

If you give me your max dimentions, I will figure it for you.

max dimensions for the box? Well box cant be bigger than 30x32x20. How would one go about rearranging the port in between the subs?

Looks great. Thanks i appreciate it. Did you calculate for the mdf 3/4 thickness as well? Will the 25 1/2 piece board be inner or outer of the 2 30" pieces of wood? How about the 15" pieces? sorry cant tell from the angle.

The Top and Bottom are 30" (W) X 25.5" (D)

The box is 15" Tall external and 13.5" internal.

The triangle at the back has a hight, from point to base of triangle, of 1 3/8".
