Box question

Right now im using a 3 cube box for my Se and i was wondering if making a smaller (2 cube) box like re suggests will make it sound better? Also i only have about 20 sq in of port in this box, as i just kinda threw it together a while ago when i didnt know to much about box building. would adding more port area and making it the req size increase its output at all?

all of this will affect the sound. 20 sq. inches isn't enough for 3 cubes, unless they are aero ports. 3 cubes is a little high. you can stray some either way from recommended, but i'd stay under 2.5 for a 12. at least in a daily driver. what is your port tuning?

3 is too big for that sub, but you'd need around 36 square inches of port in that box. box size will make more of a difference than port area though. it's too big for that sub in a musical daily driver box.
