Box question.... Please help!!!

I have just started building my own boxes and they come out great!!! but I don't understand the whole tunning of the box thing??.. How do I tune a box? but my big question is.... If a boxes Dimentions are 40" x 25" x 38" What is the square footage??? If anything please answer that for me...

Square footage? You do realize that would be 2D only right?

12" x 12" = 12"^2 which is 144"/12^2 and you have 1 square foot.

12" x 12" x 12" = 12^3 which is 1 cubic feet.

(L" x W" x H") / 12^3 = cubic feet of your enclosure. You should have learned this in 8th grade. But judging by your grammar, I don't think you learned much of anything in middle school.

Take all your demin. and times them and then divide by 1728=sqft

which those numbers would be 21.99........but you need to take out wood /ports/sub displacement .........

well you need a good design with a really big port or 4th order or amp rack all the space could be used.........all depends

You wanted to know how much volume (I assume you wanted volume) and I gave you the equation on how to do it.
