box plans, what to tune it to?

im wanna get 2 type r's and port them. im planning on building my own box, but im wondering what to tune it to. Im not really concerned with it getting that low, i want to tune it so it is as loud as possible. Any suggestions?

Tuning lower will be louder to the ear, higher will be louder to the mic.

Tune it to 35. The only reason that you want it to be tuned higher is if you're in it for the numbers. If you want it to be more visceral bass (the feeling and the destruction of the car), then lower tuning will seem louder to YOU.

Also another reason why you don't want to tune high. If you do want to show off the lows (which you undoubtedly will), and you put a 25-30hz tone through a box tuned at 50 hz, that sucker will have some intense overexcursion aka reaching xmech aka distortion because the box can no longer damp the cone and keep it controlled; which ultimately results in destroying the speaker.
