box material

It would be really hard to build an entire box out of those materials. However, building a box out of MDF and then leaving a window open and covering it with lexan for a see-thru beauty panel to the subs would work and has been done. Then you can put some L.E.D.s or some lights in there and what not if you're going for a show-car like look.

after you cut it don't forget to flame the edge a little to make it clear again. just go light with the torch and it will go from the rough white right back to clear. I have used close cell acrylic before and it worked well glued together nice but used that just because my friend had lots for fish filter making. they sent him an order of to thick of material and I used it for a box. you better have a good straight cutting saw.

the glue used, doesnt it actually melt the edges together?

you may also need to acquire a plexiglas bender, not cheap either.

fiberglass is good, and for the most part, they all sound the same. the only time youll notice a difference in sound is if you have large panels flexing....
