I usually try to bolt it down using the bolt that bolts the spare tire down. If it was not long enough, get a threaded rod from Home Depot, drill a hole into the box, insert threaded rod into hole, and tighten a nut down from the inside of the box (and pray for no flat tires).

just buy a tire repair kit. Some manufacturers have started equipping their cars with this instead of a spare tire to save weight.

if you dont want to screw into your trunk then get some bungie cords and strap it down on the top and the front that should hold it it held my 2 12z from moving around in my trunk
