Yes, PREFAB SUCKS. Custom built for specific sub can make all the diffrence in the world, and a clean install as far as wires/connectors etc. I try to explain to all my buddies that go to the fleamarket and buy like a box for 4 15 l7s(for say) and dont understand why my setup rapes there setup. They dont believe me when i say its the box.

I have a pre-fab box I am using for my Pioneer subs as it is the required air space for them and for a sealed box it is huge! 1.75cft each chamber that I had for my old type R's. Now just got some cheap Pioneer 400rms subs and using this box till next tax season, lol! Hope I am not too dissappointed in the output. Will be sending 1000rms to them.

But yes, box is important. I am at required specs and how custom can you really get with a sealed box, lol! In time I will port them......maybe. I need as much room as I can get really.

thanks for some great replies and input!! I think my box is tuned to 34hz if I remember correctly. Its hitting great man!

and to the guy that said people are fed up with the same question: to be honest if we couldn't ask a form of the same question on here there would be no posts! Every single post on here has been in some shape or form been asked multiple times. just wanted to express my feelings and get some input. thanks to the ones that understand that...

This past season was my first season in local db drag competitions, So I don't know very much.

But one of the things I have learned is the box is the most important part of my system. Changing amps or subs doesn't make near the difference as a slight box change.

I agree. Box/installation is 80 percent of how well a system sounds.
Fuk all these losers with stupid comments. They probably don't even have a system, so they come here and talk shiit.

I can breathe and function alot better without someone squeezing my neck too...

ya i had my CVRs in a shitty prefab and they did not hit it all. switched to ported and its NIGHT and DAY.

i put some shitty cvr's in a prefab ported box and j00 tell me they will hit harder wit a kustom box???
