Well he said the dim were 2.75W x 14.5H x 8.75D

Oh shit. That was my error. Those were the dimensions that I designed my box with. That's definitely my bad. I'll know that next time.

Definitely not building another one for a while. I swear, this was like my second box, first with real tools, and it took a whole weekend. I'm not doing another one, for at least until spring comes. And sorry for the long time between replies, I was in Chemistry and its lab for like four hours...bleh.

if you can extend the first port to 12" and add a 2nd on the other side at 2.75 x 14.5 x 12 deep you will have 38Hz. and that gives you 10 sq inches of port per cube before sub and port displacement so you should be closer to 12 on area and 36 on tuning. more than enough for type R subs.
