box for the MX15

I am wondering if the box for my HDC315 will work just as well for my MX15?

It is 4.5ft^3 net and tuned to 38hz~ it will be running on about 2K rms

Well, i can lower the tuning, i haven't actualy built that box yet. SPLguru designed it for me ot use with my HDC315 but i have since traded my APX18 for an MX15 so i want to run that for now...

to lower the tuning can i just add/remove some port area or? (i will remove the box specs after i get an answer) these are the box specs:

Box:

W: 27.5"

D: 26.5"

H: 16.5"

Port:

H: 15"

D: 20.21"

W: 4.75"

To lower the tuning you will need to extend the port length, thus increasing port volume and decreasing net volume. In conclusion, you may need to increase the boxes size to accommodate for a lower tuning.
