Box for SA12's 3.3 or 3.7 cubes?

I know people have these but dont see much about box size other then people quoting the Sundown page 1.75 cubes per or less for SPL

Anyone have any results??

The only page I saw with actual info was this and he's running a ton of POWA and a LARGE box compared to what you would think.

This is for daily on a 2200D,turned down a little

Will have a single 6" aero

Eh, I'd just do about 3.5 cubes and watch your gain. The only issue I see here is where you want to tune at. You can't go too far below 32 hz with having to buy an extension (aka the port will be longer than the 18" long).

forgot to mention its a homemade aero, I picked up 4' of 6" and 6' of 8" thin pvc for $10 the other day

well here's the deal I can only fit ~3.3-3.4 cubes after displacement in the trunk, I was just going to run them inverted for daily which would give me the 3.7-3.8cubes then could shorten the aero for metering. But after seeing this it seems that they would take my 2200d no prob in the larger box for metering just raising the tuning.

So not sure what I wanna do? I've never ran an inverted sub so maybe I should just stick with 3.3cubes??

Actually I've never seen an inverted sub metering so not sure if its not as loud or what??

You could stick with the 3.3 cubes net if you ran with more power.

3.3. You might have port noise with a larger box because a single 6" port is pushing it...especially if it won't be flared.

No reason for more power, 2.5" VCs don't like more than 1k.

its going to be flared to the fullest and from what I've been seeing there wont be any noise. A guy on here that builds box's sells a "value series" box that is ~3.7-8 cubes(for 2x12's) and a single 6"aero tuned to 35hz

I'm running it on a 2200d which obviously will be turned down a touch for daily, but people throwing 3000d's at .5ohm on these 12's for burping seems like I shouldnt have any issues as long as I limit the play time on kill

I'd do 3.25 cubes Tuned at 35 hz with 1 6" aero

I had mine in 3.2 cubes tuned to 33Hz and they sounded great and got plenty loud off of 1500rms

3.25-3.5ft^3 at 33-35hz would be my guess.
