I was thinking of going with a internal volume of 530cu. in., after displacement around 375 cu. in.

dimensions

5 x 8.1 x 13.12 (golden ratio)

external

6.5 x 9.6 x 14.62

does this sound about right?

sounds right, but good luck actually measuring that out. round it off to the nearest 1/8th inch

with a box this size do i need any sort of bracing or internal support

no you dont. but applying resin on the inside of the box walls never hurts.

Do I just apply resin to the MDF or do I cover the MDF with fleece and then apply resin to it.
