box for power hx2

i have 2 12" power hx2 and i need to build a 5 cubic foot box for both subs, so each sub will get 2.5 cubic feet. the dimensions that i want the box to be is length 40 inches, width 26 inches and hieght 16 inches. the box is ported and i need a diagram of how the box should look ie/ where the ports should go and how big they should be.

dude you don't want ported with RF subs. non of those subs like ported. i don't care what people on here tell you. i have friends who are RF reps and they have all said the same thing, non of our subs are built for ported. sealed is the way to go with them bad boys. by the way nice choice on the subs man, what kind of amp you got running them??

i had a He2 15" in a 2.5 sealed box and i was going to port it but my local store said just leave it how it was. It hit very hard and it was in a sealed box.

i have a power bd1000.1 amp for both subs but later i will get another one. also should i make a 2.5 cubic foot chamber for each sub sealed

I would say thats a little big for a 12" . Rockford recomends 1.0 to 2.0 if i could remember. Go to there web site tells u everything

If you look at the rockford website, they have a box for the right enclosure to the power hx, and guess what it is, its a ported box.for the 12( i have one) they havea 2.5 cu/\ft box, correct me if i'm wrong.

hey sspider your right they do sell ported boxes for their subs. for all those people out there who won't listen to anyone who actually knows more about RF than any other brand of car audio. look man i know RF subs i have talked to over 20 people who compete with it and who are sales reps for them. i have NEVER had 1 person tell me to put any of their subs in a ported over sealed. simple as that.
