I know this is in the wrong section but i had a question about a box for an 15" mt. how would it work in a 3.5cubes tuned @32hz gettin 2000watts. would u say that this box is too small. i dont have than much room to work with its going into a 2002 grand prix

i would say it should work fine.......but that sub wants more power than that. If it sounds like its pounding pretty hard but kinda looses it at the top of your volume knob then youll know what im talking about. Which 2000 watt amp are you planning on putting on it? Can you load it down and get more than 2k? IMO they sound good on 2k and might impress the easy to impress - but dont start really sounding good till 3k and up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif Thats just my take on it, some might disagree.

how much do you run daily on yours? how many times have they met their maker in bass race or any other times?

i run a bd1500 @ .7 ohms on each coil. Theyve met their maker a few times due to overdoing it in bassrace a few times - when you smell them you gotta back off and im not good at backing off. For every day head knocking and giving out demos.......showing off, letting people hear it etc its pretty reliable. I went 6 months without hurting one out on the blvd but when i spend an entire day at a show doing nothing but killin it........people in and out of my truck ALL DAY long, sometimes you get trouble. Im at a point where i have so much power that things will break. Were not talkin a few thou' any more...16k watts on 4 subs is "gettin there" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

On the other note, i just recently installed a system with 2 Zapco 4kw's on 4 mt 15's. Thats basicly a 9.0 on each one (2,000 watts). I felt hit hit hard as hell but at a certain point i could just tell they wanted more. The plus side is they never get hot at 2,000 watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

hey man thanks for the info. I'm going to be runnin it off of a hifonics brutus{newest model}2000@1ohm. im not really sure if i can run it at a lower ohmage or not. coils are 1.4 so i could probally run it at .7 maybe get a little more power.
