Does anyone have info on the recommended box size for a Lanzar MAX10, single VC? Winisd doesn't have it, Lanzar's site doesn't have it, haven't been able to find it online... Am I blinded-ness? Considering using this sub for a prahject.

Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Also the manual says it's designed for small sealed enclosures... anyone know how it does ported?

is it this sub....??

if so.... im running one in a 0.9 cuft ported box @ 300wrms (4ohm)

the little beast rumbles...... for a cheap sub it rattles my family hatchback pretty **** well!!, for the money you cant go wrong IMO..

Yes it is that sub. so 0.9... what are the port specs? slot/aero? did you get the specs from some place? thanks man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Lulz I would be putting 700ish to it, gentle on gains... in my gf's car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif if it's loud at 300... she might be in for a shock. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I would like to keep the box as small as possible, which is why the 8" also interested me...

I just beat my dong on the steering wheel to the bass line, good enough for my bish
I could ask you the mounting depth on this driver - but that would make it sound like im interested //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

lol....... 700wrms will blow it!! , but its bloody loud off of 300wrms... every mirror in the car is unusable @ full volume as they shake to much (but the shape of my car & the fact my boot is large & always empty helps no end)

its an ''Aeroport'' tuned to 32hz, i had the box made simply for a 10'' sub... & it works VERY well.

here are the T/S specs.

Can you explain Vas to me? I've looked it up and still dont quite understand - For my E8 in sealed box sundown recommends pretty much the sub's exact Vas for the box volume, but if that holds true then this sub wants a 2.14 cube box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I believe its the amount of air needed to counteract the cone movement or something........?

I tried to use those exact specs from the manual on their site to enter a new driver in winisd to figure this out but it won't let me type in the boxes...?

Thanks for your help man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wish lanzar would just publish the d@mn specs in an obvious location. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Vas is NOT the amount of box volume that the speaker uses......

Vas/Cms "Equivalent volume of compliance", this is a volume of air whose compliance is the same as a driver's acoustical compliance Cms (q.v.), in cubic meters. "Vas represents the volume of air that when compressed to one cubic meter exerts the same force as the compliance (Cms) of the suspension in a particular speaker. Vas is one of the trickiest parameters to measure because air pressure changes relative to humidity and temperature — a precisely controlled lab environment is essential. Cms is measured in meters per Newton. Cms is the force exerted by the mechanical suspension of the speaker. It is simply a measurement of its stiffness. Considering stiffness (Cms), in conjunction with the Q parameters gives rise to the kind of subjective decisions made by car manufacturers when tuning cars between comfort to carry the president and precision to go racing. Think of the peaks and valleys of audio signals like a road surface then consider that the ideal speaker suspension is like car suspension that can traverse the rockiest terrain with race-car precision and sensitivity at the speed of a fighter plane. It’s quite a challenge because focusing on any one discipline tends to have a detrimental effect on the others. "

Thanks man - bookmarked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do you use winisd? know how to add a new driver? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

GAHHH thank you I was trying to add it without starting a new project first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif mmkay let's see if I has all the parameters needed...

Well... I'm missing Le, Xmax, Z, Qms, Qes, Pe, BL, and Sd //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Dunno where I would find these parameters other than lanzar's site and they're not on there... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif :p:
