box for BTL 12"

with my trunk specs in my 97 infiniti i30 would i be able to have a proper box for a 12 BTL ported. im worried that with my height i will have to go 10's

trunk specs:

W 44

H 14 (maybe able to get this up a little)

D 39

i got an i30 i mount the sub on top, but yeah you can fit a little more than 14 if your mounting on top, i got a tc-3000 with a tall surround and my hight is 13.5 so 14 should be fine going in but i always have trouble going out.

theres these 2 thin black rods that go from 1 edge of the trunk to the other (they are about an inch apart, one on top of the other) and i cant see what purpose they serve at all. i can probably remove em, specially if they rattle
