Box for boston comp subs

Ive got 2 boston comp subs and im woundering if it is possible to put them into a ported box. They say it is not recomended that u use a ported box they recon u should use a sealed box.

If they are competitors they should be fine in a ported box , I thought thats what they recc omended on the comps , Lemme check ..........
