box for a hd3

i got a 15 inch hd3 and i have 3 box i have built in the past. i was wondering which one would be the loudest box for this sub?

1)Dimensions (W x H x D): 22.5" x 17" x 16.25

Port Tuned @ 38Hz

2)4.0ft^3 Net Volume (Dimensions (W x H x D): 33" x 16.5" x 21)

Port Tuned @ 32Hz

3)3.0ft^3 net Volume (Dimensions (W x H x D): 37.25" x 17" x 14")

Port Tuned @ 35Hz

#3 would be my guess

#2 is the best if it is your only option. I'd make the box 4.5ft3 and tune to 40hz.

Well then stick with the 4.0 ft3 box and change the tuning to 40hz. The only difference is that the port will be shorter.

I have a 15" HD3 also btw and I've tried all kinds of boxes from 2.5 ft3 - 4.5ft3 with different tunings and I've found that 4.5 ft3 @ 40hz worked the best and sounded the best.
