Box for 2 Type E's

Hey, I need the specs to build a good box for 2 10 inch Type E's. Someone help me out! Preferably, it should be just a regular enclosed box for both of them in 1 box. Since I will make it, should I make the subs have seperate compartments in the box or should I leave the space in the box open? Does anyone also know if these subs sound especially good in a ported box or an enclosed one. Thanks!

The 1.6 or 1.75 @32hz plans would probably work nice for each sub, but you're wanting one box. What is this enclosure going in?

In order to figure out whether to build the box ported or sealed, you can typically look at the subwoofers value of Q. High Q speakers (Q > .7) usually work best in sealed enclosures while low Q speakers (Q

the ten inch type E's have a Qts value of .66 so I would probably lean towards a sealed box, althought u could do ported if you really prefered...ported would allow the sub to hit lower freq louder...

now, the manufacturers suggested sealed box volume is .6 - 1.25 ft^3., so i would definately suggest building it somewhere in this range. keep in mind, the closed box resonance gets LOWER the bigger you build your box. so building it in the small range would have a higher frequency of resonance.

use the website previously linked to help you figure out what to make the dimensions...you dont want a cube, because three of the same dimensions result in an increase of standing waves, which takes away from your good sound...also keep in mind, i am pretty sure that recommmended box volume does not include the thickness of the wood, so you would need to figure this into your calculations....hope this helps
