Box for 2 12" Infinity Perfects

Im building a box for 2 12" Infinity Reference for my car. I going sealed, dual chamber, and the subs will be getting 200-250 watts RMS.

My question is the specs says they require 1.25 cu ft box. The box i designed to fit just the way I want it to in my car is about 1 cu ft per sub. Can I get away with this by adding a little poly fill, or should I re design to give them exactly 1.25?? Though/opinions? Thanks Derek

im sure it could work out with some polyfill. my girlfriend has 3 type r's in a way too small fiberglass box but its crammed full of polyfill and her subs sound very good.

I would think it should be fine in 1ft^3. I had a pair of older version (solid white cone like the perfects) Infinity Reference 12's in a split chamber box where each sub had 1.25ft^3 and it sounded good but I don't see how dropping them down into a 1.0ft^3 box would sound much worse, specially if some polyfil was added in. I fed mine 150w each and then 300w each and they sounded great and had plenty of output for my likes.
