what do you use to put most types of carpet on...aslo if i were to paint a fiberglass box with type of sander do u recommend ....

for a speaker box use 3M™ Super 77 Spray Adhesive thats what most people use. pros use carpet adhesive, comes in a 5 gal tub you spray it with a paint gun.

i just got them friday and im still not done with my box and havnt got enough power wire but as soon as i get em hooked up there wiill be some pics n pron so hopefully they are everything im looking for....

why not use mastic to lay the tiles? Thats what we use on wall and counter tiles here in Florida and thinset for floor tiles. With Mastic you can put up tiles on the top and side all at once and grout the next day.
anyways laminate looks badass might of considered it if i didnt buy fiberglass and carpet for this box already.

Mastic will crack under the vibration of a box. People use it in FL because it is inexpensive and allows you to replace it. It also sets up a little better in that salty climate. All you have to do is wet the mastic and scrape it up and it comes up clean to the substrate, ready for the next project. Mortar is for permanent installations which would be best for a box encolsure. The acrylic fortifier is most important as it will allow for minor expansion without cracking.

You can also get glow in the dark grout if you really wanted to give it a custom look. With translucent glass tile. May look good.
