lmao no. the box would be comp. sealed off from the cabin...pointless imo ive seen 2 18's in a box chevy on 3k only pull a 143

Dumb ****, he can fit 6 12s sealed easy. I have had a 12cf box in my trunk with 6 inches clearance to the trunk lid in the back, and 9 in the front.

Car is a 1981 pontiac catalina, my trunk is 6 inches longer and 4 inches wider than a caprice, not sure about the internal volume exactly though.

This box is about 10.5 CF gross before displacements, its pretty small. I can still make it about 6" wider on each side and get around 2 more cf per side. Myself im thinking about 6 low end 12s ported in a similar box. Or maybe 4 15s ported squeezed into 11 cubes net, gotta find some with a loose suspension.

My partner has (2) 18" Treo SSXs in his '88 Box Caprice.. Ported... on 3k ( Needs another 3k amp... )

... And he's pulling 149.7db

Trust and BELIEVE... 6 12 is gonna fit! ( And it can be ported... )

.. But since he wants rattle, make it a maxed out sealed enclosure...

( Remember the trunk lid is angled... when closed... )

I might be getting myself a trunk car but i wanted to do a 4th order. I was thinking about making the sealed section in the trunk and ported in the backseat with a 8x30" connection to the two.

my bro has a 87

with 2 cvr 12s in a regular prefab. when i buil my 1 box for 2 polk mm 12s tuned to 32/31 hertz i put my setup in to see the out come.

both sub and port back my box was killing his car with the lows . i made the box specialy for songs like trunk bank(dorrough) . it was a very nice out come even though my box did not like webbie 6 12s very much...

he has 4 6x9s in the rear

option 1 cut 2 more holes for 6X9 but dont use them and do basic sub &port back

#2 go with ported through the rear deck if you have no problem going with extra added labor/fun.

these cars have a tendancy to keep the bass in the trunk .youll see if you have not looked at his trunk yet there is a raise which closes the gap behind the seats. wich does not allow sub box to be placed back any further than mid trunk.

i do not recommend sub up un less you matt the trunk( which you are goin to need ) THESE trunk make a bunch of noise easy .. 6 12s can and will do great if you can get the bass to cabin porting... ect
