box calculator website

the last box i built i used a website where u punch in some numbers and it would calculate the port and evn give u perfect dimensions on how to cut the wood.

i cant find the site anymore. it would give you a picture with each wall color coded, and perfect dimensions. im building someone a box and i cannot find it.

if anyone knows what im talking about plz post a link, or the next best thing if ya can, thanks.

Its the old subwoofertools calculator. They took down the old one that you used and are currently in the process of debugging it. Last time i checked it still is a little wacky.

EDIT: Whole site is down so its down completely. RE audio has one that will work just the same. Google "RE enclosure calculator."

Honestly, don't use one of those sites. Get a design from the top of the forum or contact a member for a design. Those places are ungodly inaccurate.

i used the subwooferstool calculator and the box sounded like complete ***. I confirmed that i put the correct parameters and built the box without any issues, but to find out that box sounded like complete *** for some apparent reason..... i will try RE calculator today

Because they don't take into account simple things like net displacement and functional port length. As I've said before, I've seen subwoofertools designs off by over 40%.
