When I hear someone mention vans, I picture kids spilling **** and climbing all over the place. Why not go with down firing? I did an inverted wedge ported box in my Wrangler and even with no top/doors on it slammed. The sub was downfiring and the port on the side, at the time I didn't want to deal with trying to fire the port down as well. Here's what an inverted wedge is:
I was running a single Sundown e10, so I angled it so the rear of the sub was closer to the floor than the front. Jeeps don't have much to load the sub off of, so I imagine it would be even louder in an enclosed vehicle. Downfiring also helps protect the subs from damage, which is why I even mentioned it.
