If the manual says 4 15/6 mounting depth. Is that from Bottom of box to bottom of sub or is it bottom of box to top of sub? I am asking because the sub from top to bottom is 5 1/4 ins tall.

Also It is a 10 kicker sub to go under backseat of F150 I have. Minumum enclosure volume is 1.0ft3 Max is 2.4ft3

the seat space (area) is 6in tall by 17 long by 12in wide

I was going to make the sub box 5 3/4 X 16 X 11 will that work?

so will only less than an in work from bottom of box to bottom of sub but 4in out to the side work?

all is 1/2 in mdf

Mounting depth only refers to the distance from the bottom of the mounting ring to the bottom of the magnet. This is used when people are short on space and need a sub shallow enough to fit.

so do you think the box will work even if i sink the sub flush with the top?
Not sure what you mean here.

I was going to make the sub box 6T X 16L X 11W will that work?

I am asking because the sub from top to bottom is 5 1/4 ins tall.

so from the bottom of the magnet to the bottom of the box will only be 3/4 of an in. will that work as long as the box is wide for the air space?
