bj, you ever get a chance to weigh it and see how much it actually turned out to be?

box construction was good. applying the carpet was good. but something nicer should of been used instead of the generic carpet on such a nice box.

eh... i REALLY dont like vinyl, but down the road i might recover it in suede or tweed to match the interior... BJ and i decided that carpet was best for now, as i will only have a few days to get it all installed while i am home... and i didnt want to use that time up covering a box.

but it may get some "additional treatment" down the road.

def shoulda had some plexi in there and a few lights

i understand your point... but thats SO not my style... flashy isnt my thing... my truck doesnt have rims, or stickers... nothing.

its all about how it sounds

and the whole point of this particular install is to be able to roll up to any show and beat the pants off the locals who are paying upwards of 7K for low 150's, when i only have about 3500 invested in my whole setup.

The shop in my hometown WAY over charges and has a HUGE customer base that is just too stupid to know any better... so i enjoy making them look stupid.

although the design and execusion of construction are RETARDED... its still just a big a$$ ported box, with hefty subs, and a ton of power... not rocket science.

although a mechanical engineering degree might have made BJ's job a little easier LOL

just noticed that IONSQL poked his head in to see the finished product...

he deserves some cred too.... he was the one the took my initial design and turned it into the monster you see before you. GOOD JOB CHRIS!

thats what i did in my wife's explorer... looks sick

but i have tan interior and flat black just doesnt look right with tan. i can deal with charcoal carpet... but bedliner, or paint just doesnt seem to blend as well.
