Hey guys...

Im building a final box for my type-r 12"

I originally thought that i could have the ports, and sub facing upwards as i had it before, and it sounded great...

But as I start to figure correct angles and stuff into it, I have found out that either the ports, or the sub can be facing up, but, something have to be facing at my head basically, see pics...

What should be where? Or would it make too big of a difference either way?

Before I keep going id like some input, from experienced box builders.

thanks!

C'mon people, any other suggestions?

Or is what the other 2 the ideal way to go?

Not that Im second guessing, but I wanna cut it out today, and dont wanna have to remake the thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I took the 40% seat out of a sport trac... I have the box built... Now just to find the final volume...

I built it like that to look like it half assed looks like it belongs in there.... Its very nice inside, will take pics when I have it covered up... But I think it turned out great.

I cut the sub out already, so I have the sub facing up on an angle, and the ports will have to be up...

Is there a desired size of round port for boxes? Like if I use 4 2" pvc, I can put them all on the angled part.... But if its recommended to use 4" then i have to put it up top...

This thing was a PAIN in the ARSE to build, but its done, cept the ports... I know its atleast 1.75cuft, but I think its closer to 2+

Time to find out.

Ive heard of people using packing peanuts, but im just going to draw a grid on the box, and do it that way... see what I can come up with.

Argh...

The Box is bigger than I had thought... its 2.57852 cuft without driver/port displacement...

Is this too big for a type R? 12"
