What's the purpose of the lip at the end of the port wall?

Less turbulence?

The port needs at least it's width between the end of the port wall and the wall of the box, and the length wasn't enough, so he had to continue it along the back wall. Helps strengthen the box and make it smaller too.

After a long busy week, I finally got some time to get this one finished. The plexi was engraved on a CNC machine, with the help of my old HS shop teacher. I told him the customer will most likely be putting LEDs in the enclosure, so he recommended we use a "V-Bit". It cuts in at a V angle leaving a very smooth cut, that he said will really show up once light is put behind it. Should look very cool.

if i had a plexi window on a box i would request cool looking bracing for a "design" as well as the motor structure of a speaker being shown behind the plexi... maybe paint it all cool....... kind of like that fi you did bj. Great stuff i wish i had the equipment you did!

The plexi is 3/4" thick. Runs around $25 per sq foot.
