Ok so while i was working on the dash bezel inbetween sanding and what not i built this.

Wood cut edges rabbeted and rounded ports for you rounded port fanboys

Almost all together, 2 ports 1.5" wide on each side with subs on the middle

And the final finished pics are not working either, ill figure it out and update.

did you rabbet the sides so you can tuck the carpet in there? so theres a seam on the bottom lets say, and then just a sheet of carpet for each side with it tucked all around? what size/kind of rabbet bit do you use?? clean

Yep, makes carpeting tons easier, and i do a 1/8 by 1/8 rabbet

Can you expand on this rabbeting technique? I've never heard of it before and I'm interested in learning. I don't think I've ever done it like that.

Yea, its really simply actually. I have an adustable rabbet bit This one

I dont use a router table I just use my fixed base.

Get the berring for 1/8" and set depth to 1/8", rabbet all four edges. This leaves you with a 1/8" by 1/8" inset on the end caps for you to tuck carpet.

Yes i am, ill rabbet a piece of wood and bring the bit and everything to explain more
