Box build for 2 mj-18's pics

[82 cutlass 10+ year member]

I started the box for my buddies 04 explorer . It's going to be 10 cubes tuned to 35 hz. Here are some pictures .

Got a few sides together .

Got the port in...it's got 138 in. of port for the 2 18's

Sprayed some black paint in the port

Some 2x3's for alot of bracing . I just have to cut out the 2 baffles and finish the bracing . Shoud be getting the other 18 from UPS tomorrow then i can get them in there . Got more work to do tomorrow...i'll post some more pictures

o my. That bracing has got to go. The point is to support to top baffle and sturdy things up. Your bracing just messes with everything. The well made boxes really smooth airflow out of port, in turn and will yield MUCH greater output. IF bracing is needed, use 1 in mdf for the baffle, or use dowel rods vertically in the box.

Yeah whatever dude . It's going to have vertical braces too . There are going to be no problems with the output of this enclosure .

The 100 or so big enclosures I built this way have no problems . You need to stop long pieces of the box from flex . That's what the 2x3'x do .

I really don't see anything with 1200 watts needing much (if any) bracing in the first place...

ya my 6.5 cube box had bad flexing in the middle, so i put 2x4's in and made it strong as hell.. It sounded alot better too
