Ok before you reply and say I'm crazy hear me out I have a dual 10inch bass bunker box from Crutchfield long story short it was perfect dimensions for my speakers here is where my confusion comes in. It's split two separate chambers completely split and both sides also have bracing. Now besides the split I siliconed all parts inside and I mean every joint everywhere also around terminal cups then after that I under coated the inside twice of both sides there is literally no way to have any air leaks and or wood breathing because I under coated it heavily. My question how the heck can one side move when I push on the other if it's sealed completely how is that happening? I'm so confused

This one?

Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker Sealed dual 10" subwoofer enclosure (Model BB102-75S) at Crutchfield.com

Yea sorry if I push on one sub it moves the other one. And this box is completely split and sealed so how can that be possible

I dont think those prefab boxes are made with the thickest wood, so the pressure would cause it to flex like that. I had one that flexed on one side enough to cause a split somewhere and the box itself would rattle. Then ofcourse eventually the speaker seized up on that side.

So it could be just because the woods not thick enough and that's causing the speaker to move when I push on the other

It's simple. There's not an airtight seal between the two chambers. I don't think it has anything to do with the MDF, rather something's not sealed along the edges or maybe there's a leak near the terminals or wiring. Pictures or a video would definitely help.

There's no way there's a air leak I have 4 layers of sealing and if there was a leak around terminal cups that wouldn't matter because they have desperate chambers this is weird

We'll I appreciate all the help I checked it again and what happens is when I push one in the other goes in with it so strange I'm hoping that's it's not enough to damage speakers when playing

There's no quality control on any of these prebuilt sub boxes. Even if it is sold by crutchfield. Its made in a cheap china factory with cheap china wood. with rough shipping and handling from far east all the way here to US.

Had this happen before with a prefab sealed back then, it'll definitely cause phasing issues and damage your sound quality and output. I literally had around 70% reduction in bass output. My best advice is to just build your own sealed box, its rather easy when its a sealed enclosure. Even if you dont have the tools for it, have a cut sheet, buy a sheet of mdf and have home depot cut it for you then glue and screw. Have a friend with a jigsaw or circle jig cut the hole for you. Since there's no port, only thing you'll be needing is the volume calculator on this site Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume
