real world choices? in the real world, people let themselves be affected far too much by words, mere words, that other people say. anytime someone allows themself to be affected by the words of the ignorant, the ignorant has won. political correctness has turned people into the biggest touchy feely pussies in the history of man.

Affected in what sense? i'm not crying... not upset... perhaps a bit more curious about how the racial issues we have today came to be, but other than that... i'm just wasting time until tonight, watching tv and fooling around on the internet. I'm doing the same things i would have done had this conversation never occurred. Some effect, huh?

I am for bringing back literacy tests. But make everyone take them.

I feel we should express how we really feel about people instead of holding it back, if u feel like calling a black person a N bomb so be it, if u feel to call a white person a Cracker so be it, if u feel to call an Arab a towl head so be it.

If anyones bold enough to do it on a private call they should be able to do it out in public, dont hold ur tongue for no one, then try to cover it up when u get caught doing it.

lets say that you belonged to a group that has been oppressed... lets say that it went on for hundreds of years, and that the oppression was enshrined in law until quite recently from a historical standpoint... lets say that a word became so thoroughly intertwined with that oppression that it became its symbol...
would you want others to use that symbol? to redefine it as they please while insisting that it no longer carried its old connotations?

If you cannot understand that... well... i don't know what you'd understand.

Well, I am part of groups that have been oppressed quite heavily and in law in the past, I'm an Irish Catholic, yet I don't go around bitcing about it every chance I get. These people that bring up slavery annoy the fuck out of me, you were never a slave, your parents were never slaves, your grand parents were never slaves and more than likely your great grand parents were never slaves, its over and done with, do you deserve reparations, no, not at all, your great great grand parents do, but guess what, they're dead. My ancestors were abused, spit upon, denied jobs and used as cheap labor, do I deserve anything for that, no, and neither do the descendants of slaves, thats all there is to it.

On that note I am not racist, I have friends of all races and don't care what race anyone is, if you're dumb and an ***, whether you be white, black, hispanic or asian, I will dislike you, period.

if a word bothers you you need to grow the **** up! ITS A WORD!!! If you get hurt by someone saying it tough shit! Man up and just let it slide... Now if I using it directly towards you or another person in order to piss them off/aggravate them then I feel that there should be repurcushions for my action. But else wise man the **** up... Its not like im pouring battery acid on you and if it affects you the same way you need to see a god **** shrink

i think its been said but its exactly what it is....its a private call that wasnt supposed to be heard by anyone but his son.....i think we all say some things in private that we wouldnt dare say in puplic.....

Whoa whoa whoa... let me begin by saying that i hold nothing against you. Before i begin, i'd like to bring to your attention that while you make valid points, the overall style with which you present your opinions could be interpreted as hostility and cause discussions to tend towards shouting matches... I don't know if this is intentional or not, so i'm going to assume good will.
That said, i can't stand those people either... thats why i didn't ***** about slavery.
