I think you guys should be happy that you are in a country that isnt riddled with civil war and corrupt government (well ok, thats debatable, but ill still take the US of A over African Gov't any day of the week)

You should be blaming your ancestors government that sold your people to the white men while you were hunting in the safari.

So let me get this straight. Where you a slave? Was i ever a slave-owner? Im going to say that the answer to both of those questions is No. So why the fck does it matter? I dont see jews btching about what happened in their past and raising hell when they are called names. I dont see the ancestors from the first irish and chinese settlers that moved her who could very well be considered slaves. The only people that i see complaining, is the black community, which none of them lived through slavery, yet they still want something for what their ancestors were forced into. Why should i have to cater to you, when I didnt personally do anything?
Now, if you were a slave, then sure, i could understand your point of view. But to me it sounds like the modern black community is simply trying to get something for nothing, and btch about things to make it seem like everyone is out to get you.

people are speaking in generalizations here. you seem to be pretty level headed, you've demonstrated that. a large percentage of black people, however, are not so level headed.

You are saying that people shouldnt be allowed to say n*gger, which takes away my freedom of speech, which is a right guaranteed to me by the consitution. I can say pretty much whatever i want to say. So we should cater to you by not using the N word, yet black people can.

So your answer to your question number 1 is that there is no rascist attitudes anymore? Personally i feel that the new rascism is towards whites. Hell everytime something goes wrong, its the white man that caused it because we had slaves a hundred years ago.

I'm not pulling this stuff out of nowhere, and i'm not using it anywhere where it isn't helping my argument... I'm not trying to appeal to emotions, i'm making statements of fact and arguments that are, in my opinion at least, soundly based.

I agree... what i said could be interpreted that way. I'm all for freedom of speech... thats why i'm not in favor of legislation stating that you cannot use the n word. THAT would infringe on your constitutional rights... all i'm doing is making a request.

Personally, i'd prefer that the word faded away into the history books... like i said earlier in this thread, I can understand when the n word is said out of ignorance. They don't know any better... but the people that have knowledge? that is inexcusable.

But your are saying that because our ancestors owned slaves, and were slaves, that we should not use the N word.

To me, and this is me personally, i dont care what color you are. I have a few black friends, and they actually agree with me that there are blacks, and there are n*ggers, but i dont care if you are white, black or slant-eyed, you can still be a n*gger.

My definition of a N*gger is someone who is a piece of sht that wants things given to them without working for it. Someone who sits at home and watches oprah waiting on their welfare check while their kids are out whoring, selling drugs or shooting at each other. People who would fck their own mother out of money just to get a buck.

You seem like a decent guy, and hell we might even have much the same concepts (it actually seems that way) but the majority of people i seem to talk to want things given to them, and that pisses me off to no end. People btching about how bad the ghettoes are, yet dont do sht about it. I dunno, seems like the more people i meet, the more anti-social i become.

No sir... i do believe racism still exists. I asked that question to make sure we're on the same page...

I view everyone as an individual and try to deal with them as such... there are white people i don't like and there are black people i don't like. But that dislike for an individual does not rise to the level of "hatred," and does not represent a blanket dislike or hatred for people of the same skin color... which is, in my opinion, the way things should be.

I would say that socioeconomic status is becoming the new basis for discrimination...

I concur, but just because i call someone a n*gger doesnt mean i hate the whole community. Just like someone calling a person white trash, or gook, or chink. Its a word to describe a useless piece of sht. I may hate that person, but it is certainly doesnt mean i hate the entire race. Just some of the misfits that should be thrown off a bridge.
